Closing in on the Finished Wine Barrel |
|
After cutting, the panels have to be sanded prior to installation…how do you do it? The old fashion way…by hand! (With the help of a power sander, of course!)
O.K., before we can install these puppies, we have to disassemble the barrel from the temporary bending jig. Here goes!…
Note that we have already started the interior cabinetry…the three middle bending braces have already been removed.
The panels, stacked, indexed and ready to go back on. The metal brackets are what hold the end together and will later be hidden by the end caps.
The front panel with the door is back on. We had to reinstall the middle ‘bending brace’ to help hold the panels as we re-installed them.
